Job description

**D-Riven Engineered Solutions is seeking an Electrification Engineering Manager candidate that will be responsible for leading industrial power distribution designs, infrastructure assessments, and supporting electrical system installations, modifications, and relocations in a manner consistent with D-Riven and Customer expectations and National Electrical Codes. **

**Starting Annual Pay: $111,000 - $120,000 **

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities

:

In this position, the employee will be responsible to:

**

  • Uphold D-Riven’s health and safety standards throughout the execution of a given project, along with ensuring compliance with customer safety rules and regulations

  • Serve as the technical lead of the Industrial Engineering – Electrification Team

  • Work with and direct Senior Electrical Engineers and Electrical Superintendents to conduct site surveys, and generate power distribution system designs and installation plans

  • Complete infrastructure evaluations of existing industrial power distribution systems to verify capacity, load, etc. and generate one-line drawings

  • Serve as a lead designer and/or approver for industrial power distribution systems

  • Optimize designs based on factors including material utilization, material lead times, integration downtime requirements, and ease of installation

  • Research and adhere to all applicable electrical and building codes and accepted best practices

  • Coordinate with internal and external customer management teams in support of electrical project costing, quoting, and planning activities

  • Work with D-Riven’s operations team and program managers to develop comprehensive timelines and resource plans prior to project kick-off

  • Develop project level material lists and supply them to those responsible for purchasing

  • Source technical system components and determine the compatibility of alternate options as dictated by project constraints

  • Direct internal electricians and subcontractors on the execution of established work plans

  • Manage senior electrical engineers and electrical superintendents, and provide direction regarding the execution of site surveys and project plans

  • Verify lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) of electrical sources prior to commencement of work

  • Support field teams in the troubleshooting and correction of electrical system issues both remotely and on site

  • Review and approve the installation of electrical system equipment including Unistrut frames and hangers, cable tray, conduit piping, panels, disconnects, junction boxes, and motors

  • Ensure teams maintain clean work areas, machines, tools, and equipment

  • Collaborate with low voltage/controls specialists to ensure the seamless integration of complex systems

  • Conduct arc flash studies and generate appropriate labels upon the completion projects

  • Perform other routine jobsite duties as directed by site management

To be qualified for the position, applicants will possess:

  • Field-proven experience as an Electrical Engineer with an industrial focus or background

  • **Willingness to travel frequently (30%-40% travel), and complete work nationwide

  • Own and maintain a vehicle that is reliable and suited for interstate travel

  • Mastery of the reading, interpretation, and development of electrical system drawings, schematics, and manuals

  • Mastry of engineering design Autodesk Electrical Suite software

  • A solid practical electrical aptitude

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills:

    • Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project
  • The ability to interface knowledgably with a multidisciplinary project team

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Proven project management and supervisory skills

  • Present knowledge and ability to adhere to all applicable codes and accepted best practices

  • Willingness to work nights and weekends/variable schedules and additional hours as necessary

**Required Experience and/or Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field

  • 15+ years of combined experience in electrical engineering, industrial electrical installation or maintenance, or an equivalent field

  • Experience in operating aerial lifts, and other powered equipment
