Job description

We are looking for anElectrical Engineering Interntoassistinhardware development, high-speed telemetry, and power system designfor critical experimental projects. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to work withhigh-voltage electronics, precision synchronization systems, and experimental hardware.

  • Role Type: Full-time Internship, non-exempt
  • Compensation: $30/hr
  • Location: Alameda, CA
Key Responsibilities
  • Assistin thedesign, layout, and productionof high-voltage power supply systems (3.5 kV, 20 mA).
  • Supportmicrosecond telemetry synchronizationfor Longshot’s hypersonic test platforms.
  • UseKiCadfor schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Work withpower electronics, serial-to-Ethernet protocols, and precision timing systems.
  • Conductexperimental setups, testing, and validationof electrical and mechanical systems.
Required Qualifications
  • Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with power electronics and circuit design.
  • Proficiency in KiCad or similar PCB design software.
  • Knowledge of electrical schematics, microcontrollers, and high-voltage power systems.
  • Understanding of serial communication and Ethernet protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity withprecision time protocols (PTP), GPS synchronization, and data acquisition systems.
  • Hands-on experience withelectronics workbenches, debugging tools, and oscilloscopes.
