Decision Technologies seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship is ideal for a student or recent graduate interested in electronics design, circuit development, and hands-on engineering experience in a professional environment.
Position Description:
The Electrical Engineering Intern will support engineering efforts related to printed circuit cards (PCCs), cable assemblies, and electronic hardware development. The intern will work alongside experienced engineers to assist with circuit design, prototyping, testing, and technical documentation activities. This internship is designed to provide practical, hands-on experience with electronics engineering, PCB design, and hardware integration processes.
Decision Technologies offers interns the opportunity to gain hands-on engineering experience, mentorship, and exposure to real-world electronics development and integration projects in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Assist with reverse engineering printed circuit cards and cable assemblies to help develop circuit schematics and PCB layouts
• Support the design and development of multi-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs)
• Assist engineering teams with preparing circuit card documentation and design updates
• Help support PCB manufacturing and coordinate with printing or fabrication shops as needed
• Assist with populating, prototyping, testing, and verifying circuit cards and electronic components
• Participate in troubleshooting and testing activities to support hardware integration and assembly efforts
• Maintain technical documentation, engineering notes, and test results
• Collaborate with team members on engineering projects and technical problem-solving activities
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering field
• Interest in electronics design, circuit boards, and hardware engineering
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering concepts and electronic components
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and engineering processes
Preferred Qualifications:
