Status: Full Time, non-exempt, Temporary

Location: Moriarty, NM

About the Position:


Sceye is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to support our Launch and Assembly Team during Summer 2026. This internship will focus on advancing the automation and reliability of our launch system through sensor integration, electrical design, and control system development.


This role offers hands-on experience working on real aerospace hardware, contributing to the design, fabrication, and implementation of critical systems that support high-altitude platform launches.


What Weโ€™re Looking For:

  • Support the sourcing and integration of sensors and electronics to enhance launch system automation
  • Assist in the design and development of electrical boards and control systems
  • Contribute to the upgrade of the launch release mechanism into a more automated system
  • Help fabricate and assemble electrical components, including control boxes and wiring systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system functionality and reliability
  • Document designs, processes, and test results for ongoing engineering use

Project Focus:


The primary project centers on upgrading the launch system to improve automation and performance, including:

  • Integrating new sensors and electronics into the launch mechanism
  • Designing and building electrical boards and control boxes
  • Supporting the development of a more automated and reliable release system
  • Assisting with system testing and validation of electrical components

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and components
  • Experience with circuit design, PCB layout, or electronics fabrication (preferred)
  • Familiarity with sensors, control systems, or embedded systems is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced engineering environment
