Job description

The Kingston Resorts is a 145-acre oceanfront resort on the north-end of Myrtle Beach. Less than 2 miles from Tanger Outlets and a short 20-minute trip to Broadway at the Beach. This resort is home to the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort, Embassy Suites Myrtle Beach, Kingston Plantation Condos, and Royale Palms. The Assistant Director of Engineering is responsible for the management of activities within the department, ensuring the standards and objectives
of the department are implemented and maintained in equipment operation, staff management, and product quality to meet and exceed guest expectations.
Responsibilities:
*Conduct applicant screening and interviews for Engineering positions.
*Make recommendations as to hiring, advancement, discipline and promotion to Director of Engineering.
*Ensures department spending held within budgetary limits on line spending.
*Ensures the directives and standards are followed and maintained within department.
*Staff training, assignments and supervision.
*Ensures quality performance in staff assignments.
*Ensures building code and quality standards at departmental and interdepartmental levels.
*Monitors equipment and special preventative maintenance standards to ensure quality product
Requirements:
*Ability to handle multiple functions
*Ability to speak, read and write English
*Excellent communication and human relations skills
*Must have strong computer skills
*Knowledge of hotel maintenance including, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, etc.
*Minimum of 2 years of maintenance or similar management experience
Starting at $52,000 - $60,000
