Job description

Job summary

Provides support and assistance for Wiring Instructions, Electrical issues, Electrical Standards, Manuals, etc. Be responsible for reviewing and updating Electrical Wiring Diagram, Bills of Material, and other Documentations while ensuring code compliance. Coordinate with Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Mechanical Designers and Control Engineers to develop new products. Assists Quality Inspectors to generate Data Tag and Template

Responsibilities/daily tasks

  • Coordinate with team members for creating the wiring diagrams as well as laying out 3D Electrical Components in SolidWorks.
  • Responsible for reviewing and updating Bills of Material in Macola System
  • Coordinating with personnel from the Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, Bill of Material and Sales departments to meet project specifications.
  • Shop support and assistance for the Electrical Assembly and Testing departments with HVAC control system testing and commissioning.
  • Understanding and implementing UL 1995, NFLA-70, UL 60335-1 and UL 60335-2-40 design requirements, methodology and practices.
  • Creating Electrical Standards or Wiring Instructions for multiple units
  • Establishing Data Tag Templates as well as generating Data Tags for every unit.
  • Creating, Reviewing and Modifying all Electrical Data on the #UCA Engineering Database, Product Brochures, Submittal, etc.
  • Evaluate wiring practices, components for cost reduction, and efficiency while ensuring code compliance. Follow up with ETL/MET (ETC) on electrical changes to components, etc.
  • Assist Field Service Engineers with Electrical problems and recommend design modifications to eliminate unit or system malfunction.
  • And other duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 2-3 years of post-education experience in a procurement-focused, fast paced, and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge with Electrical SolidWorks and 3D SolidWorks
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and electrical codes
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC System is a plus.
  • Ability to learn new techniques and Electrical Standards requirements.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to meet business objectives.
  • Capable self-leadership with attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment
  • Proficient in Math and Computer Skills.
  • Basic proficiency with Technical Writing, Technology, Software.
  • Microsoft office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
