Job description

Growing engineering firm is looking for a talented Electrical Engineer for their Duluth, Minnesota office!

 


Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical systems for commercial, educational, healthcare, industrial, and public-sector building projects
  • Develop construction documents (including plans, specifications, calculations, and reports)
  • Perform power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage system design
  • Coordinate designs with architects, contractors, owners, and other engineering disciplines
  • Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction observations
  • Deliver projects on schedule and within budget
  • Apply applicable codes and standards to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant designs
  • Assist with project proposals, client meetings, and technical presentations
  • Mentor/train junior staff
  • Manage multiple projects/priorities in a collaborative environment

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • PE License in Minnesota and ability to obtain licensure in North Dakota within six months
  • 5+ years of experience designing electrical building systems (adjust years as appropriate)
  • Experience with commercial, institutional, industrial, or municipal building projects
  • Proficient with design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, or similar tools
  • Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, IBC, IEEE, and other applicable codes and standards
