Location: Deerfield Beach, Florida (Onsite, fixed location)
Employment Type: W2
Compensation: $80,000–$110,000 base salary (negotiable for strong candidates; may exceed range for Professional Engineers)

Schedule: Flexible hours; deadline-driven consulting environment

About the opportunity
An established MEP consulting engineering team is hiring an Electrical Engineer or Electrical Designer to support building systems design from concept through construction.

Responsibilities

Electrical design production
  • Design power, lighting, security, and low-voltage systems for buildings
  • Prepare electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents

Calculations and layout
  • Perform electrical load calculations and system layouts
  • Support multi-floor building designs with consistent layouts

Coordination and construction support
  • Coordinate designs with mechanical and plumbing disciplines
  • Review shop drawings and provide construction-phase support



Qualifications
Required qualifications
  • 4 or more years of experience in an MEP or consulting engineering environment
  • Hands-on building electrical design experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (skills may be evaluated)
  • Knowledge of applicable electrical and building codes

Preferred qualifications
  • Revit experience strongly preferred
