Job Summary

NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center is seeking a skilled and innovative Electrical Engineer to support the development, testing, and integration of electrical systems for spaceflight hardware and ground support equipment. This role is critical to advancing NASA’s mission in propulsion, space systems, and exploration technologies. You’ll work alongside world‑class engineers and scientists to design solutions that power the future of space travel.



  • Design, analyze, and test electrical systems for aerospace applications

  • Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface control documents

  • Support integration of electrical components with mechanical and software systems

  • Conduct troubleshooting and failure analysis of electrical hardware

  • Ensure compliance with NASA standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance requirement

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support mission objectives

  • Participate in lab operations, environmental testing, and flight certification processes


Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering, or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in electrical design, testing, or systems integration (aerospace or defense experience preferred)

  • Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer, or similar platforms

  • Strong understanding of circuit design, power systems, and signal integrity

  • Must be a US citizen

  • Preferred experience with NASA programs, spaceflight hardware, or propulsion systems


Physical Demands

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment

  • Ability to walk short distances

  • Ability to lift and carry parcels, packages and other items

  • Ability to view a computer terminal


Skills and Attributes

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

  • Knowledge of EMI / EMC standards and mitigation techniques

  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), embedded systems, or FPGA development

  • Understanding of reliability engineering and fault tolerance in aerospace environments
