Job description

Electrical Engineer II

As an Electrical Engineer II you will perform a variety of moderately complex engineering duties to design, plan, and oversee the design and development of electric/electronic devices and systems  applied to new or existing products .  Evaluates progress and results of projects. Recommends changes in design, procedures or objectives as necessary.  

You will do this by
  1. Designs and troubleshoots electrical/electronic assemblies and systems

  2. Confirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties

  3. Adheres to new product development processes as it relates to Concept Analysis, Business Case, product development, pre-production and post-launch steps

  4. Recommends methods of manufacturing during the design of new products,design modifications or process changes based on cost/design studies

  5. Acts as a liaison between other departments as necessary

  6. Recommends changes in design, procedures or objectives as necessary.

  7.  Develops engineering test standards where applicable

  8. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Three years of professional engineering experience
  • Broad knowledge and use of electrical/electronic control circuits and systems

  • Broad understanding of electrical/electronic components and their uses in various power systems

  • Knowledge of appropriate standards and regulations

  • Knowledge of applicable technologies and/or products

  • Well-developed communication skills to explain designs and logic used

  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
