Job description

Archer-Elgin, a growing full service engineering, surveying and architectural firm, is searching to fill an immediate Electrical Engineering position to work on various municipal infrastructure projects. Archer-Elgin is located in Rolla, Missouri with a satellite office in Lebanon, Missouri. We are home to a skilled, diverse and experienced team of highly trained and licensed professionals. We are dedicated to delivering personalized, full-service expertise in the fields of municipal engineering, land surveying and mapping, and architectural and construction services.

Job Duties

Work collaboratively under the direction of the Project Managers and Project Engineers

Prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications for construction work packages.

Work with Designers and CAD Technicians to develop drawings compliant with national design standards, safety codes, and project specific requirements.

Work on designs that typically include: facility electric service entrance equipment sizing, selection and riser diagrams, electric and process control/integration one-line diagrams, electric distribution feeders and motor branch circuit design, protection sizing and coordination, control schematics and wiring diagrams, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, local integration and communications specifications, facility electrical site layouts with material lists, conduit, and cabling sizing/routing, AC & DC power and control systems calculations, analysis and sizing, and facility grounding systems.

Cross-functional assignments as needed in adjacent industries (Water, Wastewater, Power Distribution, Civil/Structural)

Job Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Missouri EIT or PE License Required

Flexible disposition, cooperative, positive attitude, self-motivated, high level of energy, and organized

Leadership and technical writing and communication skills and demonstrate a commitment to exceeding project objectives and client goals
