Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of the Mining Team, based out of any of our US offices!
What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Preparing proposals for projects for geotechnical services for engineering projects that include cost estimates and timelines;
  • PLC, Power, Automation and instrumentation mining experience required.
  • Responsible for meeting firm's engineering quality levels of discipline on assigned projects.
  • Oversees development of design concepts by Designers, and ensure proper application and execution.
  • Verifies Designer's work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings.
  • Responsible for applying the EXP's risk management practices of electrical engineering.
  • Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of discipline engineering.
  • Encourages collaboration to seek the best solutions.
  • Manages work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.
  • Executes complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination.
  • Perform front-end loading of Electrical systems for projects.
  • Contributes to revisions of EXP's design standards and master specifications.
  • Evaluates Value Engineering (cost cutting) items with respect to our level of risk.
  • Edits and develops the basis of design narratives documenting the project scope.
  • Develops electrical one-lines, load lists, area classifications, etc.
  • Participates in HAZOP, PHA, safety reviews.

What your experience looks like

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited University.
  • Registered PE Required
  • 10 plus years of experience in the mining or industrial industry.
  • Business development experienced required
     

The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor.
