Salary: $160,000 - $210,000 per year + Signing Bonus + Yearly Bonus + Benefits

Founded in 1990, Garg employs over 100 professionals and delivers high-profile federal and state transportation projects across Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer (P.E.) to support complex electrical engineering design efforts and support large-scale transportation and infrastructure programs.

Position Overview

The Senior Electrical Engineer (P.E.) will support electrical engineering design, quality control, and project execution for multi-million-dollar transportation and infrastructure projects, with a focus on facility electrical systems, lighting design, and facility power. This role includes full project lifecycle involvement - from concept design through construction support - and offers strong growth and leadership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform facility power, lighting, and electrical system design
  • Prepare electrical scopes of work & cost proposals
  • Develop drawings, schematics, layouts & specifications
  • Perform system calculations, modeling & analysis
  • Select electrical equipment & coordinate with manufacturers
  • Support construction including review of submittals & RFIs
  • Coordinate with utility companies & regulatory agencies
  • Mentor junior engineers and present technical solutions to clients & leadership
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License โ€“ Required
  • 10+ years of electrical design experience
  • Strong experience in:
    • Power distribution systems
    • Substations & switchgear
    • Facility power systems
    • Grounding, lighting & low-voltage systems
  • Expert knowledge of NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE & UL codes
  • Software experience:
    • AutoCAD
    • Revit
    • OpenBuildingDesigner
    • OpenRoadDesigner
