Description
SHINE Technologies is immediately seeking an Electrical Engineer who will have ownership in all phases of electrical design, coordination with other internal engineering groups (I&C, Process, Nuclear, Structural, etc.), procurement of equipment, commissioning, and start-up.
The base salary range for this position is $75,000-$172,500 annually plus a comprehensive benefit package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific duties and responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer include, but are not limited to:
  • Prepare specifications, calculations, drawings, and test plans to support the design, new construction, testing, commissioning, in-field troubleshooting and operation of the medical isotope production facility.
  • Work with Procurement organization to procure equipment
  • Monitor and provide guidance to contract engineers and engineers of record for the normal electric power supply system
  • Provide support to Construction by processing requests for information, engineering change requests, work packages, and reviewing document submittals
  • Work with electrical inspectors (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) to assure compliance of SHINE electrical systems
  • Duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • 5+ years experience [JA1.1]in designing low voltage power engineering duties
  • Working knowledge of the National Electric Code, Life Safety Code, Building Codes, IEEE standards, and IEC standards[JA2.1]
  • Experience with conduits, cable trays, cable selection, terminal/connection drawings, panels, and panel design

The following are considered a plus:
  • Experience in electrical design meeting NRC regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in Electrical Design tools such as AutoCad Electrical or Solidworks electrical
  • Familiarity with SCADA or PLC systems preferably Allen-Bradley
  • Greenfield Experience - from design through construction and startup

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
  • Requires frequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, grasping, and reaching above the shoulders and below the knees.
  • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 40 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
  • Fine motor coordination and strong depth perception is beneficial.
  • Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
