Your daily tasks may include drafting plans, running calculations, creating reports, and collaborating with both engineering colleagues and professionals from other disciplines, like architects and contractors. Job description

Are you a talented Electrical Engineer seeking your next opportunity? Join the Encorus team in Depew, NY, where you'll design and develop innovative electrical systems to meet the diverse needs of our clients. We're seeking a driven, experienced engineer to take the lead on a wide range of electrical design projects in the AEC and industrial sectors.
In this role, you'll work on projects involving power distribution, lighting systems, fire alarms, automation design, and NEC code compliance. You'll be expected to manage projects independently requiring both technical expertise and strong organizational skills.
We're particularly interested in candidates with deep experience in power infrastructure for industrial facilities, especially with medium- and low-voltage systems. Our portfolio includes everything from large-scale power generation plants to intricate control-level distribution systems, offering a dynamic and diverse workload.
At Encorus, you'll collaborate with clients from a variety of industries and facility types-from modern manufacturing sites to legacy industrial plants. This position is perfect for an engineer who thrives on variety, enjoys client interaction, and values being part of a supportive, fast-paced team.
The ideal candidate is technically strong, proactive, and client-oriented, with a passion for solving complex problems, mentoring others, and continuously learning.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform redlining of existing drawings, documentation, and project file coordination.
  • Collaborate with in-house staff and external design professionals, including architects and engineers, to coordinate design work.
  • Independently handle projects of moderate size and complexity while supporting senior engineers on larger or more complex projects.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of deliverables within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Assist project managers with correspondence, estimates, schedules, material lists, design concepts, drawings, calculations, and other project documentation in compliance with customer, corporate, and industry standards.
  • Apply company and industry standards to oversee the preparation of calculations, project drawings, and specifications.
  • Mentor and guide entry-level employees, providing skill development, progress reviews, and coaching as needed.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners-including cross-discipline teams, construction teams, vendors, fabricators, and owners-to address electrical-related issues or concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field
  • 4+ years of electrical engineering and design experience, with a preference for consulting experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration or EIT with plans to obtain licensure.
  • Strong background in power infrastructure for industrial facilities, including experience with medium- and low-voltage systems
  • Experience and enthusiasm for working across a broad range of project types and power distribution levels.
  • Proficiency using ETAP or SKM, Visual or similar analytical software.
  • Proficiency working with details and designing with AutoCAD and Revit drafters
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to comply with company drug screening, including pre-employment tests.
  • A valid driver's license, along with the ability to travel locally and occasionally out of state.
Pay Range: The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on the candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience. Encorus Group is an equal opportunity employer (EOE/AA Disability/Veteran), committed to fair and equitable compensation.
Join Us! At Encorus, we value innovation, collaboration, and professional development. We offer a competitive benefits package, opportunities for career advancement, paid training, flexible scheduling, and hybrid work options depending on project needs and team collaboration.
