This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
What YOU will do:
  • Design, develop, and integrate Collins products within the communication systems and test solutions in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Develop both engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawings, schematics, circuit designs, and analysis.
  • Contribute to the completion of all stages of communication system and test system development.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to develop proven hardware designs that meet system performance and operational specifications.
  • Perform circuit design lifecycle activities, including requirements capture, schematic capture, design documentation, circuit design analysis.

Qualifications you must have:
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
  • Proven background in electrical engineering focused on circuit design and analysis (RF, Analog, Digital)
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Proven background or initiated experience in electronic circuit and hardware development, including digital electronics, schematic capture, hardware integration, and hands-on testing and troubleshooting of circuit card assemblies.
  • Proven background or initiated experience with engineering tools and test equipment, such as logic analyzers, interface adapters (JTAG, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet), RF test equipment (RF Spectrum Analyzers, RF Network Analyzers, RF Power Meters, RF Switches), oscilloscopes, and ECAD/PCB design tools (NX ECAD, DX Designer/Expedition, Altium, Cadence Allegro, Eagle, KiCAD, etc.)
  • Proven background or initiated experience in designing and developing electronic circuits and systems for communication systems.
  • Proven background knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF), testing, schematic capture, circuit design, and hardware selection and integration.
