Electrical Engineer

The Opportunity:

As an electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to conducting large-scale energy assessments across large installations supporting critical missions. We're looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to enhancehow multi-milliondollar energyinfrastructureinvestmentsare made across the Department of War, ensuring leaders have clear, engineeringdriven guidance onhow best to improvemission resilience.

Our team is at the forefront of deliveringcutting edgeenergyresiliencesolutions to customers who rely on their systems 24/7 to ensure our national security. That's why we need an electrical engineer like you that specializes inpower systemsandcritical mission needs, andcan communicatethat knowledgewithin interdisciplinary teams to help us design and develop the next generation of large-scale energy solutionswithin the Department of War.

On our team, you'll dissect vulnerabilities in large-scale energy systems. You'll impact defense energy by assessing in-place infrastructureanddevelopingsolutions that increase resiliencyacrossan installation. You Have:

  • 4+ years of experienceanalyzingenergy infrastructure, including electrical distribution systems
  • Experienceconducting on-site stakeholder engagements to gather technical energy requirements, and translating complex engineering concepts into clear, actionable information for nontechnical clients
  • Knowledge ofpower systemsdesign,includingpower generationassets,microgrids, andbattery energystorage systems
  • Ability toleverageelectrical modeling software such asEasyPower, ETAP, or SKM, to generate data and content for technical reports
  • Ability to travel up to 25%of the time to CONUS and OCONUS locations
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor'sdegree in Electrical Engineering


Nice If You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience leading site visits or interviews at government-ownedsites
  • Experience designing, building, installing, ormaintainingelectrical equipment
  • Experience working with the Department of Warin government or contractor rolesand supporting GS-14 or GS-15 level clients
  • Secret clearance
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Engineer in Training (EIT)Certificationor PE License

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
