Lead the future of AI, HPC, and mission-critical infrastructure while working on some of the industry’s most advanced engineering and data centre projects.

INTUVA by PTS Data Center Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead complex electrical infrastructure projects supporting AI/HPC environments, hyperscale data centres, critical facilities, advanced energy systems, and next-generation infrastructure. This role is ideal for a technically strong, client-facing engineering leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and understands how to deliver reliable, scalable, and resilient power systems for mission-critical operations.

The ideal candidate will bring consulting engineering or mission-critical project experience with expertise in medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems, utility coordination, backup power infrastructure, UPS systems, switchgear, arc flash studies, short circuit analysis, protective relay coordination, commissioning support, and integrated project delivery.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design, coordination, and delivery of mission-critical electrical infrastructure projects while collaborating with clients, internal teams, and construction partners to ensure successful project execution. This role requires a disciplined, technically strong professional who takes ownership of deliverables, communicates effectively, and consistently produces high-quality engineering solutions.

  • Lead the design and engineering of mission-critical electrical systems for hyperscale data centres, AI/HPC environments, critical facilities, advanced energy systems, and infrastructure projects.
  • Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR), providing signed and sealed engineering drawings and technical documentation where required.
  • Develop and review electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, one-lines, coordination studies, arc flash analysis, and system designs using AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM, or related engineering tools.
  • Coordinate closely with clients, project managers, architects, contractors, vendors, and cross-functional engineering teams throughout project execution.
  • Support commissioning, startup, integrated systems testing, field investigations, and validation activities while ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, operational, and code compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to technical proposals, client presentations, engineering standards, and process improvements across the organization.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Needed
  • Strong knowledge of mission-critical electrical infrastructure and power distribution systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineering staff.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and client-facing critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM, or equivalent engineering software.
  • Strong understanding of utility interconnection coordination, power system reliability, redundancy architectures, Tier standards, and mission-critical operational requirements.
  • Understanding of redundancy architectures, energy efficiency strategies, and mission-critical operations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in at least one U.S. state (Required).

  • NCEES Record in good standing preferred and strongly valued.
  • Multi-state PE registrations highly preferred.
  • 7+ years of electrical engineering experience.
  • Experience in mission-critical facilities, data centre, industrial, or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM, or related engineering tools.
Preferred
  • Experience with AI/HPC infrastructure or hyperscale data centre environments.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70, NFPA 110, ASHRAE, IEEE, and Uptime Institute standards.
  • Experience with commissioning, startup, and validation activities for complex electrical systems.
  • Experience with fast-track or design-build project delivery environments.
  • Experience supporting hyperscale, colocation, cloud, or enterprise data centre clients.
  • Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier standards and mission-critical redundancy strategies.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering coordination and client-facing technical reviews.

Schedule & Flexibility

This is a hybrid role based in Oakland, NJ. This position requires a high degree of flexibility. Candidates must be willing to adjust work hours as needed, including supporting project deadlines, commissioning activities, travel, client meetings, and changing project priorities. Travel is required depending on project assignments and client needs.

$165,000 – $195,000

Performance-based bonuses available.
