Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Strong AutoCAD experience (AutoCAD Electrical preferred)
  • Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes
  • Experience designing electrical systems, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Ability to perform panel loading calculations, wire/conduit sizing, and BOM creation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must pass background check and drug screen
Must Haves
  • Design electrical systems for custom industrial enclosures, power generation equipment, and packaged systems.
  • Review customer specifications and develop electrical designs that meet project requirements.
  • Create schematics, electrical drawings, Bills of Materials, and panel layouts.
  • Perform load calculations, panel balancing, conduit and cable sizing.
  • Provide technical direction to designers and drafters throughout the design process.
  • Partner with manufacturing and production teams to resolve technical issues and support project execution.
  • Ensure designs comply with NEC, NFPA, and applicable customer specifications.
Preferred Background & Skills
  • Experience with generators, switchgear, UPS systems, or emergency power equipment
  • Manufacturing experience with industrial equipment, structural steel, skids, or packaged systems
  • Autodesk Inventor, Revit MEP, or other 3D CAD software
  • Accubid or similar estimating software
  • Experience working with Caterpillar, Cummins, MTU, Schneider, or similar equipment manufacturers
