Job Description Role: Intermediate Electrical Engineer Work Location: McArthur River, SK - flights out of Saskatoon, SK Work Rotation: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, 11 hrs per day Duration: 05/19/2026 - 12/31/2026 Role Summary The Intermediate Electrical Engineer at McArthur river independently executes electrical engineering work for major and sustaining capital projects in mining and heavy industrial environments. The role includes electrical system design, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and accountability for engineered deliverables. A strong commitment to safety and sound engineering judgment is essential.

Key Responsibilities Demonstrate a strong personal safety culture and comply with all safety programs and regulatory requirements. Perform electrical design for low, medium, and high voltage systems, including power distribution, motor control, and generation systems. Apply mining and heavy industrial electrical design standards and best practices.

Independently lead electrical engineering scope on assigned projects and coordinate with other disciplines. Develop and review Scopes of Work (SOW) for electrical installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Perform power system studies using ETAP (load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination).

Prepare and update engineering deliverables including drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, and equipment lists. Support procurement activities including technical bid evaluations and vendor/shop drawing reviews. Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and operations.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility

4-9 years of experience in mining, industrial, or heavy infrastructure environments. Experience developing SOWs for electrical projects. Strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards.

Proficiency with AutoCAD. Working knowledge of ETAP power system modeling is an asset. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Mining experience, particularly underground operations. Field experience supporting construction or commissioning.

Familiarity with PLCs, instrumentation, and industrial networks. Experience at remote or safety sensitive industrial sites.
