Description

Markon is seeking an Electrical Engineer in support of a contract with the United States Secret Service (USSS) to advance the agency's protective mission. The Electrical Engineer will provide engineering expertise and project support for mission-critical electrical infrastructure supporting secure facilities. The selected candidate will evaluate, design, and oversee electrical systems to improve reliability, resiliency, and operational security. This role will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and government stakeholders to support the planning, installation, maintenance, and modernization of electrical systems across critical facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, design, develop, test, and oversee the procurement, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of electrical components in medium- and low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for electrical infrastructure across mission-critical facilities.
  • Identify operational and security gaps in electrical systems that may impact mission-critical operations.
  • Develop master plans and mitigation strategies to improve resiliency and reduce operational risk.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and government partners to install, repair, commission, and maintain electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices through technical analysis and specification development.
  • Perform electrical system calculations and develop technical specifications and engineering documentation.
  • Develop and implement maintenance and testing procedures for electrical and electronic components.
  • Support coordination with contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders on infrastructure modernization projects.
Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems, infrastructure management, or power engineering.
  • Experience designing or assessing electrical systems for mission-critical facilities, including generator and battery backup systems.
  • Experience working with SCADA systems, power metering, and electrical automation systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering codes and standards.
  • Proficiency with engineering design and calculation software.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure.
  • Experience supporting federal or government infrastructure programs.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical or secure facility electrical systems.
  • Experience supporting senior executive-level federal customers in highly secure, high-visibility operational environments preferred.
Salary RangeUSD $150,000.00 - USD $165,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
