Job description

Electrical Test Technician – Warren, Ohio

Unitek is seeking a Full-time Electrical Test Technician to join our growing operations team in Warren, OH. This role involves hands-on testing of automotive electrical components such as connectors, terminals, splices, and fuse centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical/electronic principles and a passion for precision and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and perform electrical tests per customer and OEM specifications.
  • Prepare test samples and operate lab equipment including multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Monitor test progress and ensure timely completion of milestones.
  • Record and analyze test data; compile reports documenting results.
  • Build and maintain test fixtures and lab equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in the lab.
  • Collaborate with senior technicians, department managers, and occasionally interact with customers.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a testing-related field.
  • Solid understanding of electrical concepts including voltage, AC/DC, and Ohm’s Law.
  • Familiarity with lab instruments such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive attitude.
  • Must be able to work 1st Shift (7:00AM-4:00PM) and work some overtime (paid overtime 1.5x after 40 hours, double time as applicable)

This position is Full-Time, Long-Term with a starting hourly rate range of $18/Hr.-$25/Hr. and is based on years of experience and education.
