Job description

Duties

  • Drafting in Bentley MicroStation: One-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, lighting/power plans, installation details, Instrumentation and Controls Diagrams, conduit/cable schedules, fire alarm and communication drawings
  • Experience with low and medium voltage power distribution and industrial control systems
  • Experience with NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and UL508A
  • Preparing data sheets, specifications, and walkdown reports
  • Work in concert with electrical engineers and other CAD drafters from the same work group

Must be able to support construction and operational activities related to design outputs. Field walkdowns will be required sometimes in radiological contaminated areas. The ability to obtain Q-clearance will be required.  Little to no (<5%) travel is expected. Typical work schedule will be Mon.-Thur. 10-hour days (4/10 schedule)

 Education

Associates or higher degree in a technical field and a minimum of six years of related experience or a high school diploma and 13 or more years of relevant experience

Work Environment / Physical Demands:
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Light to moderate lifting may be required for packages and other items, ability to walk short distances, may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.

Due to government and/or federal regulations for this position, proof of U.S. citizenship is required.
