The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, analyzing, and supporting electrical systems used in oil, gas, and water facilities, including power distribution, motor controls, instrumentation, and electrical safety systems. This role develops electrical plans, performs load calculations, reviews one-lines and schematics, and ensures all designs meet NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and industry-specific standards. The engineer supports installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment such as MCCs, VFDs, transformers, switchgear, and control systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation across all project sites.

What it takes
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license - required
  • 5 + years experience
  • Experience in electrical design for oil & gas, water treatment, or industrial facilities
  • Experience in Power Systems solar, renewable, power grid, substation
  • Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE standards, and industrial power systems
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, electrical design software, and power system analysis tools (e.g., SKM, ETAP)
  • Ability to interpret electrical one-lines, wiring diagrams, and construction documents
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
