Allen + Shariff is seeking a mid to senior-level electrical designer to work on its projects on the Eastern shore. This position would be based primarily out of the Columbia, MD office, but would require one day per week in the Salisbury, MD office. The salary is $90K - $150K, depending on experience and certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full design of lighting, power, and fire alarm systems, including full equipment selection, for small to medium commercial projects.
  • Analyze system options and evaluate existing systems where appropriate.
  • Coordinate all aspects of project document completion within A+S and externally with clients.
  • Complete full design in accordance with code. Production is performed using Revit and AutoCAD depending on preference of architect.
  • Write specifications.
  • Provide bid and construction phase services including reviewing bids, answering RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, participating in project walk-throughs, and providing field observation reports.
  • Work in the Salisbury office one day per week on a regular basis and also travel to Salisbury as needed for meetings, site visits, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an electrical focus.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • PE (or ability to get PE) preferred.
  • AutoCAD required, Revit preferred.
