Job description

The Role
Nebius is building next-generation data center infrastructure across the United States to support high-density, GPU-driven workloads. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will support the design, review, and technical development of electrical systems for data centers across the US portfolio.

This role is ideal for an electrical engineer with hands-on data center design experience who can work across conceptual design, design reviews, partner coordination, and technical decision-making. You should be comfortable evaluating both low-voltage and medium/high-voltage electrical systems and helping ensure designs meet Nebius standards, local regulations, and operational requirements.

Location: Remote, US

Responsibilities

  • Review electrical design packages for data center projects, including internal concepts and third-party partner designs.
  • Support development of electrical design concepts for high-density data center environments.
  • Evaluate UPS, LV, MV, and HV electrical infrastructure, including systems up to 400V and MV/HV systems around 11kV and above.
  • Review cable distribution, electrical pathways, and design coordination with data hall layouts.
  • Partner with mechanical, construction, commissioning, and operations stakeholders to ensure designs are buildable, maintainable, and aligned with business needs.
  • Assess designs for concurrently maintainable data center operations and high power-density environments.
  • Help identify alternative design solutions, product options, and technical tradeoffs.

Requirements

  • Data center electrical design experience.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems used in mission-critical or data center environments.
  • Experience with LV and/or MV/HV electrical infrastructure.
  • Ability to review design documents, technical proposals, and partner deliverables.
  • Ability to read and interpret contracts, design requirements, and technical standards.
  • Strong communication skills with internal stakeholders, external design partners, and construction teams.
  • Practical engineering mindset with ability to think beyond narrow specialization.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with hyperscale, neocloud, GPU, or AI infrastructure data centers.
  • Experience at companies such as Lambda, CoreWeave, hyperscalers, colocation providers, or mission-critical engineering firms.
  • Familiarity with high-density rack environments, including 50kW to 200kW per rack.
  • Experience supporting design reviews through commissioning or operational turnover.
