Job description

Position: Electrical CAD Technician

Compensation: $ 27 - 28 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Electrical CAD Technician to join their team!

This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented CAD professional to support substation design work within a collaborative engineering environment. You’ll help produce accurate drawings and documentation for electrical projects while contributing to a team focused on quality, precision, and continuous growth.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Create and update electrical CAD drawings for substation projects
  • Support networks, integrations, and automation design efforts
  • Use Bluebeam to review and mark up project documents
  • Prepare clear drawings and supporting documentation
  • Work with Microsoft Office applications for project-related tasks
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency across all deliverables

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in a CAD-related program with a 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Or specialized CAD certification plus 2 years of drafting experience
  • Experience using CAD software
  • Working knowledge of Bluebeam
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work from Columbus, Ohio

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with electrical or substation drafting
  • Exposure to networks, integrations, or automation projects
  • Previous experience in an engineering or technical environment
