Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and talented individual interested in a career in Preconstruction. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced estimators and engineers to develop competitive proposals for impactful projects.

The ideal candidate will bring innovative thinking while analyzing project plans, performing quantity take-offs, and developing accurate cost estimates. This position plays a key role in shaping successful project outcomes and contributing to meaningful community developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full cycle of estimating and analysis with guidance from senior estimators

  • Review drawings and specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy

  • Develop cost estimates by obtaining pricing from vendors and subcontractors

  • Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and unit pricing for review

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on estimating strategies

  • Train and mentor junior estimators, supporting their professional growth

  • Participate in design-assist phases of projects

  • Meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy

  • Conduct occasional job site visits

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong computer proficiency with the ability to learn new tools and technologies

  • Knowledge of the electrical construction industry

  • Ability to interpret construction documents, including drawings and specifications

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills

  • Solid math and basic accounting skills

  • Experience with estimating and scheduling software is a plus

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred

  • (Equivalent experience of 5+ years in electrical construction may be considered in lieu of a degree)
