ABOUT NOOVO
Noovo designs and manufactures premium Class B camper vans at its Las Vegas, Nevada headquarters. Founded in 2020 and inspired by European design, Noovo builds modern, off-grid homes on wheels on Ram ProMaster and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, featuring lithium battery systems, solar integration, radiant floor heating, full kitchens, and indoor bath systems. More than 500 customers now call a Noovo home, and the company is scaling production across its Noovo Lite, Plus, Pop, and Next platforms.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Electrical Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, validation, documentation, and continuous improvement of all electrical and connectivity systems across Noovos camper van portfolio. This role owns the complete electrical architecture of the vehicle including lithium battery systems, charging systems, solar integration, inverter systems, shore power, lighting, electrical distribution, CAN-bus networking, and digital switching, integrated touchscreen control and monitoring (e.g., Garmin), and onboard connectivity (Starlink, cellular, and Wi-Fi).
The Electrical Systems Engineer serves as the technical owner of all electrical systems throughout the product lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through manufacturing, service support, and continuous product improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Electrical System Ownership

  • Own the complete electrical architecture across all vehicle platforms.
  • Design and maintain battery, inverter and charger, solar, shore power, DC and AC distribution, lighting,
  • monitoring and control, and vehicle integration systems.
  • Design and maintain the CAN-bus network and digital switching architecture, including node definition,
  • addressing, and bus reliability.
  • Integrate touchscreen control, monitoring, and digital-switching systems (e.g., Garmin) for unified control of
  • power, lighting, climate, and tank systems.
  • Own onboard connectivity systems Starlink, cellular, and Wi-Fi including routing, antennas, and power
  • management.
  • Define electrical standards and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety and regulatory requirements (e.g., NEC, RVIA, UL, and FCC where
  • applicable).
Product Development
  • Develop electrical specifications and design requirements.
  • Evaluate and qualify new electrical components and technologies.
  • Support prototype development and validation activities.
  • Participate in design reviews and product launch activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across existing products.
Engineering Documentation
  • Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, CAN-bus and network diagrams, BOMs, and productspecifications, assembly instructions, service documentation, troubleshooting guides, and testing anvalidation procedures.
Manufacturing Support
  • Develop manufacturing assembly guides and work instructions.
  • Support production troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Improve manufacturability and assembly efficiency.
  • Train manufacturing teams on electrical systems and installation standards.
Service & Quality Support
  • Investigate warranty claims and field failures.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Improve product reliability and serviceability.
  • Support customer and service team technical escalations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Product Management on new product development.
  • Support Purchasing and Supply Chain with component selection and vendor qualification.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure technical accuracy of customer-facing materials.
  • Support Service and Quality teams in continuous product improvement efforts.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 37+ years of experience in electrical system design.
  • Experience with DC power systems, lithium battery systems, inverters, chargers, solar systems, and vehicle
  • electrical systems.
  • Experience with CAN bus networking and digital switching systems.
  • Experience integrating touchscreen control and monitoring systems (e.g., Garmin) and onboard connectivity(Starlink, cellular, Wi-Fi).
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics and wiring documentation.
  • Experience with CAD and electrical design software.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in RV, camper van, marine, automotive, or specialty vehicle manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with low-voltage DC systems, BMS, and off-grid energy management.
  • Hands-on experience with Garmin (or comparable) digital-switching and display ecosystems and CAN /
  • NMEA 2000 protocols.
  • Experience designing connectivity and antenna systems for mobile or off-grid applications.
  • Experience working in an ERP-integrated engineering environment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The base salary range for this position is $90,000 $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Noovo
