POSITION OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Electrical Engineer III plays a key role in the successful execution of projects from start to finish for our MFG group. This individual will provide technical and engineering excellence, as well as successful delivery of work to our customers. The Electrical Engineer III is responsible for a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring expectations are clearly communicated and managed โ€“ both externally and internally. The successful candidate will also contribute to a dynamic team environment by being proactive, communicating clearly to all stakeholders, and modeling a highly collaborative working environment. This person will also actively support the business development process, through the writing of proposals and meeting with prospective and current customers. This Electrical Engineer III will be self-directed but thrive in an environment where consultation leads to superior differentiators. The successful candidate will have a pragmatic and applied approach, while at the same time bringing a creative examination of customer needs and solutions.

Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Assists with the design of one or more of the following: power distribution systems (primary requirement), size motor feeders and starters.
  • Supports the design of building power and lighting systems. Includes the design of special systems, such as ground fault, lightning protection, emergency generator, UPS, etc.
  • Prepares engineering documents and equipment specifications to meet contracted scope of work and to ensure application of Electrical Engineering Principles.
  • Assists with performing voltage drop and short-circuit calculations. Perform arc fault analysis.
  • Coordinates work with other departments and project team members as well as contractors.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Minimum of 8 yearsโ€™ electrical engineering experience following graduation.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification or willingness to pursue this designation.
  • Project experience and a working knowledge of Electrical design for building projects.
  • Knowledge in both Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Strong electrical design expertise across various industries and processes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Structural Engineering construction practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, NESC, ANSI/IEEE, etc.).
  • Experience in infrastructure design for manufacturing facilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build strong client relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers.
  • Ability to establish rapport and credibility with customers and other stakeholders.
  • Supervisory or people-management experience.
  • Effective meeting management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
