Job Description:

Ready to put your Electrical inspection skills to work with departments and teams that change the fabric of our community? Do you have a great attention to detail? Put your inspection expertise to work on complex projects. Parsons is now hiring a Site Electrical Inspector for our rapidly expanding team.


Responsibilities:

  • Performs site Electrical Inspections for Traffic Signals and Roadway Lighting Projects in Ontario.
  • Performs field inspections of commercial electrical projects for compliance with building codes and design requirements. Perform monitoring of Electrical Construction under Contract Administrator and issuing notice of violation and/or corrective action if necessary.
  • Responsible for working with contractors, designers, and owners regarding code requirements, including explanation, gaining cooperation, and compliance for all corrections and violations.
  • Reviews routing requests and prepares reports of inspection findings, complaints, and follow-up visits.
  • Receives, investigates, and resolves special complaints/problems concerning electrical systems.
  • Performs follow-up inspections of sites in violation of codes to determine if compliance has been met.
  • Responsible for interpreting, understanding and explaining all pertinent information concerning electrical installation and construction requirements including Ontario Provincial and Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Perform General Civil and Roadway Inspections when needed by CA for ongoing projects. Training shall be provided for any General Civil and Roadway Inspections work.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma with 4+ years' experience in as Electrician/Technician or 2-3 years Associate College Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2-3 years' experience in as Electrician/Technician.
  • Valid Ontario's Electrician Technician License is must.
  • IMSA Technician or Inspector Certification is desired.
  • Knowledge of (and any experience in) broadband Fiber Optics, communications construction, maintenance and implementation is also preferred.
  • Must have valid Ontario's full Driver license to perform field inspections.
