Job description

Construction Equipment Operator

Location: Carnesville, GA

Job Summary

Amteck is seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Equipment Operator to join our team in Carnesville, Georgia. The ideal candidate will safely operate and maintain a variety of construction equipment used in electrical construction activities. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay, opportunities for advancement, and the chance to build a long-term career with a growing company. Previous equipment operation experience is required, and electrical construction experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain construction equipment including excavators, backhoes, trenchers, skid steers, augers, and other heavy machinery.
  • Perform excavation, trenching, grading, and material handling activities in support of electrical construction projects.
  • Follow project plans, specifications, and safety requirements to complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine preventive maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Work closely with supervisors, foremen, and field crews to support project goals and schedules.
  • Identify and report equipment issues, site hazards, and safety concerns promptly.
  • Assist with general labor duties as needed, including material handling, site preparation, and cleanup.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with all company and project safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating construction equipment in a commercial, industrial, or utility construction environment.
  • Knowledge of safe equipment operation practices and basic equipment maintenance.
