We are working with a well-established consulting engineering firm that is continuing to grow its Electrical team. With a strong reputation in the building consulting space, the firm delivers high-quality projects across residential, commercial, and institutional sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Intermediate Electrical Designer/Engineer looking to further develop their technical skills while gaining exposure to a diverse project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare electrical design drawings and documentation for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
  • Support projects from concept through to construction, including design development and tender packages
  • Perform calculations including load calculations, panel schedules, and lighting layouts
  • Coordinate with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams to ensure integrated design solutions
  • Participate in client meetings and internal design coordination meetings
  • Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and assist during construction administration phases
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • 3–6 years of experience within a consulting engineering environment (building design)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Strong understanding of Ontario Electrical Code and relevant standards
  • Experience working on residential, commercial, or institutional projects
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
