Waev Inc. is an electric mobility OEM founded in 2021 to manufacture, distribute, market, and support the GEM, Taylor-Dunn and Tiger brands. GEM was the first commercially-produced, street-legal low-speed vehicle in the United States. GEMs shuttle people and goods across city centers, residential communities, government campuses, colleges and universities, and other micro-environments. Founded in 1949, Taylor-Dunn burden carriers, personnel carriers, and stockchasers have been trusted solutions in a broad range of commercial environments and provide premium reliability, safety features, and all-electric efficiency for industrial grade applications. Tiger heavy-duty tow tractors have been towing cargo, baggage, parcel, and other equipment in ground support applications since 1981. Waev's headquarters and factory are located in Anaheim, California. JOB SUMMARYThe Senior Design Release Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and release of mechanical components across Waev's low-speed and industrial electric vehicle portfolio, including GEM and Taylor-Dunn platforms. This role plays a key part in bringing new products to market and improving existing platforms, with ownership spanning concept through production. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings strong technical expertise in mechanical design, CAD, and product development.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:Research, develop and prototype new components for LSVs (Low Speed Vehicles) and industrial electric vehicles.Design of mechanical components, including structural frames, exterior and interior parts for existing and new generations of LSVs and Industrial electric vehiclesRelease mechanical components into the prototyping and production processDevelop, manage and maintain BOMs, drawings, and engineering specificationsDevelop and manage all documentation of the requirements, designs and validation report.Support all engineering validation work to include testing of all systems used in electrical vehiclesRelease high quality automotive drawings, components and systemsProvide analysis and troubleshooting of the vehicles throughout the development processProvide technical guidance to the engineering teams, technicians and manufacturing workersFollow all company processes EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEAssociates or Bachelor's Degree in EngineeringHands-on experience in building engineering prototypesStrong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skillsAutodesk Inventor CAD Design experience KNOWLEGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESVehicle development or relevant experiences preferredWORKING CONDITIONSLocation: On-site in Anaheim, CAEnvironment: Fast-paced office/manufacturing/warehouse environment EEO StatementWaev Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer and will make all employment-related decisions without regard to race, color, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, marital status, familial status, status with regard to public assistance, membership or activity in a local commission, protected veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.
