Job description

Electric Engineering Intern (Distribution) (Temporary Part-Time)
Starting Salary: $14.00 - $20.00/hr.

Brief Description:
Under general direction and supervision of the Electric Engineer I/II, assists in engineering duties associated with the electric transmission and distribution system construction and operations; assists with project oversight and technical support to crews regarding the construction, operation and maintenance of the electric transmission and distribution systems; assists with special projects as required.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Under and including one year of experience
  • Enrolled in Four year BS degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • A valid driver's license

Job Duties:
  • Assists with engineering and construction design duties related to the electric transmission and distribution system
  • Prepares specifications and bid documents.
  • Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of bid awards
  • Assists the Electric Engineer I/II with Project Management duties on projects as assigned by Electric Distribution Engineer.
  • Assists with engineering review of consultant submittals; Interacts with contractors on material pickup and other project inquiries
  • Performs other duties and assignments as required

It is expected that the position will require a minimum of 12 hours per week, with flexible scheduling available.
