Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Serve as steward of all land and improvements located within the boundaries of the line-camp area
  • Assist with the management of both the livestock and wildlife enterprises
  • Represent the Rocker b Ranch and Scottish Rite for Children in a professional manner
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Operate heavy equipment and the portable welder in a safe manner
  • Make repairs to fences, water wells, equipment, and buildings located within the area of the line-camp
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all livestock within the line-camp pastures
  • Administer a sound health program to all livestock located within the area of the line-camp, performing health related procedures as necessary
  • Train, ride, and shoe both young and old horses
  • Monitor and maintain livestock and wildlife watering facilities to ensure an ample supply of quality water
  • Monitor wildlife activity and conduct spot surveys to determine wildlife populations
  • Commit to all Care Rite Core Values
Required Skills/Abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Working knowledge of livestock and wildlife management
  • General knowledge of livestock health and minor veterinary skills
