Job description

Assistant Commercial Electric Engineer/Estimator
  • Reports to: Commercial Engineer/Estimator
  • Assist with preparing detailed estimates for the project based on the construction drawings and specifications. Assist with the communications of bids and scopes of work.
  • Assist with document management for the project, including receiving drawings and specifications, providing the proper file structure and distribution to all parties
  • Prepare comparison analysis to previous estimate for assigned scope
  • Serve as liaison with electricians, subcontractors, design team (architects, engineers, consultants) and client. Additional point of contact for managing assigned trade subcontractors and distributing information.
  • Prepare scope requisitions for assigned trades; coordinate with project team to eliminate scope gaps and overlaps.
  • Assist with preparing and assembling bids and proposals
  • Assist with development of a value analysis study by defining alternatives to the proposed scope that are more cost-efficient
  • All other duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven written and verbal communication
