Title - Video & Digital/Marketing Specialist

Hourly: $30-50/hour

We offer a suite of products that address election management, FOIA management, candidate filing, campaign finance and other critical business challenges in the government sector.


Role:

We are seeking a Video & Digital Marketing professional with a minimum of 10 years of experience. Someone who is passionate about democracy and has a desire to help local and state election administrators run successful elections.


This role is ideal for a creative and fast-paced video editor with a passion for storytelling across both business and client domains. You will collaborate closely with experienced and hard working election officials across the county to craft compelling short-form videos for social media, brand campaigns, and election integrity creative projects. The content will span themes of conducting safe, secure and accurate elections with strategic messaging. Projects will include assembling social reels with practical narratives and clear calls to action, supporting both company branding and election officials' life.


Primary Responsibilities


  • Edit and assemble short-form videos for social media and branding, tailored to both business and election officials
  • Develop visually engaging social reels with practical storytelling elements
  • Develop interview questions or engagement questions for storytelling by emphasizing on election operations and election officials' daily professional life
  • Develop storyboarding, and creative direction for each project
  • Ensure all content aligns with Soch’s outreach goals and communicates key messages effectively
  • Deliver high-quality, polished videos within the allocated timeframe
  • Responsible for graphic design, social media, email campaigns, conferences and creating content as needed for the outreach
  • Create and post content on social media via content scheduler
  • Create training content for Soch’s products such as videos, brochures and other materials
  • Attend seminars, webinars, and other election related events
  • Travel to conferences and onsite election office visits
  • Strong communication skills needed to demonstrate products and services offered by Soch
  • Outreach via email, phone, social media, conferences and onsite election office visits

  • Other duties as assigned by the manager


A successful candidate will have:

  • Overall minimum 10 years of experience in marketing
  • Proven experience in video editing and storytelling for social media, branding, or creative projects
  • Strong proficiency with industry-standard editing software 
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for visual storytelling, pacing, and narrative structure
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Availability for ongoing work and quick turnaround times
  • Graphic design experience in creating/editing photos, videos and other outreach material
  • Experience in Canva or similar tools
  • Conferences or trade show experience 
  • Ability to work/collaborate with a team
  • Strong work ethic with ability to self-manage workload and deliverables 
  • Familiarity with CRM software (good to have but not required)
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and very good interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Proficiency in using word, excel, pdf, computer/laptop and online applications
  • Strong communication skills and able to demonstrate products during conference and onsite visits to election offices.
  • Able to operate non-commercial vehicle for business travel

  • Video Creation Experience: 10 year (Required)
  • Marketing Experience: 10 years (Required)
  • Canva is highly preferred or similar tool but ready to learn Canva
