Lutheran Towers is a faith-based, non-profit senior community that provides an affordable, quality home with person-centered supportive services that empower its residents to thrive. A vision of the late Dr. Robert E. Lee, Senior Pastor of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in the 1970s, Lutheran Towers is the only faith-based senior living facility in Midtown Atlanta and the only one of its kind within the four-state area comprising the Southeastern Synod of the ELCA.

The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for Lutheran Towers. This position aims to work effectively with all departments on collaborative projects to fulfill the mission of the Lutheran Towers community. This critical role is responsible for ensuring the satisfaction of the community we serve.

Job Title: Front Desk Receptionist

Reports to: Business Services Manager

ABOUT YOU:

Our senior living community needs a compassionate and highly organized Front desk receptionist to join our team.

They will develop positive working relationships with all clients and immediately report any problems or concerns to the senior Resident Service Coordinator. We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule who can be available for nights, weekends, and holidays. We're willing to work with residents, family members, and the residents' caregivers.

JOB DUTIES:

o Provide the supportive service department staff, front office, and administrative staff with support (e.g., filing, emailing, and data entry)

o Relay client concerns to the appropriate senior staff

o Review and submit documents to relevant staff members, residents, family members, and other interested parties

o Schedule and organize appointments with prospective residents and their families

o Meet with residents to discuss concerns or questions, then relay those issues to the appropriate staff member

o Maintain client files and add new information as it becomes available

o Help clients fill out paperwork and attend to correspondence

o Maintain our inventory of office and caregiving supplies

o Answers the telephone pleasantly and channels all calls to the appropriate person. In a clear and distinct voice.

o Refers to all inquiries (telephone and in person) regarding admissions to the Occupancy Specialist.

o Assists the Resident Relations Specialist with the mailing of applications.

o Uses MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and MS Publisher, and any other software programs needed to assist staff in work-related projects.

o Maintains the visitor/guest sign-in/out software

o Maintains the Grocery/Mall trip sign-up book for each upcoming week.

o Distributes Office mail and redirects miss-delivered mail.

o Accepts and distributes USPS packages and parcels for the residents.

o Make copies and send faxes to residents; keeps records of money

o Monitors building entrances and exits, closed circuit television for any hall irregularities, and "no parking" areas.

o Supervises the distribution of keys from the key rack and maintains a sign-in and sign-out book for the keys.

o Keeps the reception area and copy room neat and orderly.

o Maintains courteous communication with residents, visitors/family, applicants, and representatives of companies.

o Maintains complete confidentiality.

o Answers all emergencies indicated on the fire alarm and emergency call panels.

o Assists residents as necessary, time permitting.

o Check fax machine and copier for sufficient paper and print supplies

o Files paperwork as instructed by Department Manager/ Director.

o Assist Staff in publishing Fliers and other information using MS Publisher.

o Assist the Department Director in special projects as requested

o Assist other staff members as requested and approved by the Department Director
