Job description

Lil Explorers Kissimmee Inc is seeking a reliable, passionate, and dedicated Preschool Teacher who will work with our preschool classroom while preparing to transition into a Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Teacher position.
This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys working with young children, demonstrates strong classroom leadership, and is interested in growing into a VPK instructional role within our center.
Position Summary
The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports children’s social, emotional, and academic development. The selected candidate will work closely with administration while gaining experience and preparing to transition into a VPK teaching role.
Essential Responsibilities
Classroom Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and active supervision of all children.
  • Maintain compliance with DCF licensing regulations and ELC CLASS standards.
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
  • Maintain student portfolios and documentation.
  • Communicate daily with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies.
Professional Expectations
  • Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Complete all required DCF training hours.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills.
Qualifications
  • Current and active Preschool CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) required.

  • Prior preschool classroom experience preferred.
