Your Role: Experior Data Specialist

As an Experior Data Specialist you will be supporting Elanco sales team members to amplify the enrollment and electronic data readiness of feedlots for their usage of Experior, identify new customers through strategic partnerships with feed mills and nutritionists, and increase market penetration and data quality in existing customers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist and facilitate the enrollment of new prospects via CRM and electronic documentation software to sign agreements and releases.

  • Utilizing our CRM platform, enter call notes, contacts, and make account changes while working collaboratively across the organization.

  • Work cross-functionally across sales and channel teams to assist in organizing producer meetings, identifying new sales targets, and building existing customer and channel relationships.

  • Assist and facilitate the prospect's comfort and competency in enrolling in data sharing with Elanco, serving as a subject matter expert in the data we collect.

  • Train prospective customers on data submission practices and follow up with customers at regular intervals. Conduct appropriate follow-up training when necessary.

  • Work closely with Elanco sales representatives and Elanco Knowledge Solutions to follow up on data submission across new prospects and existing customers.

  • Candidate will efficiently organize, plan and schedule customer appointments and travel necessary for product advancement.

  • Candidate will maintain a working knowledge of the entire Elanco Beef portfolio to complement feed additive discussions.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Business, or related.

  • Experience: Has a cattle-feeding background and appreciates the value of capturing data for cattle performance.

  • Candidate has experience with CRM programs and is comfortable documenting call notes, organizing pre-call plans, and updating customer information.

  • Excellent communication skills in working cross functionally with external (feed companies, feedlot software companies, nutritionists) and internal stakeholders - such as sales representatives, technical consultants, Elanco Knowledge Solutions (EKS), HGS and Marketing to best advance new prospects.

  • Proficiency in core computer systems (intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - primarily Microsoft Excel) and willingness to learn the functionality of feedlot accounting and feed software programs.

  • Self-starter regarding work ethic; willingness to learn sales and data best practices; and willingness to uphold the core Elanco values.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

  • Previous experience working in the animal health industry calling on customers, building relationships, and educating them on a portfolio of products.

  • Working knowledge of feedlot accounting, animal health, and feed software.

Additional Information:

  • Travel:Candidate will efficiently organize, plan and schedule customer appointments and travel necessary for product advancement. Travel expected to be 75% within assigned territory with extensive overnight travel.

Elanco currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from $55,100 to $91,600 depending partly on the successful candidate's qualifications, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending partly on company and individual performance). Additionally, Elanco offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees that includes a company-matching 401(k); vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities). Of course, the compensation is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above.
