Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital opened on Jan. 24, 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital. Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center withLevel I adult traumaandLevel II pediatric traumadesignations. Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital has 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows. Corewell is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, with more than 1,400 Corewell Health doctors on faculty.

Scope of Work

Performs Electrocardiograms in a variety of settings, which could include outpatient, the Emergency Department, and all in-house locations. Maintains equipment. Will maintain sufficient inventory to efficiently operate the EKG services. Performs clerical duties such as computer entry, filing, recording, and mailing and reports as needed. Complete all test orders in EPIC to ensure appropriate charges are processed.

Qualifications

  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Required Completion of EKG training, either an exclusive EKG training program or as part of other educational programs.
  • Prior work experience that included performing EKGs may be considered as fulfillment of this requirement. Required
  • 6 months of relevant experience Six months of experience as an EKG technician. Preferred
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association required Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross required
