Job Summary and Qualifications
Runs standard, STAT and pre-op EKG's according to established protocols and physicians requests. *
Responds to "Stroke alerts" by immediately reporting to the area as outlined in the department policy and procedure manual. Remains on standby to perform EKG on patient as soon as possible.*
Processes EKG's according to policy and procedure. *
Distributes EKG test results to the patients charts. *
Performs routine maintenance and care of the EKG equipment. Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot the Muse Networking system and EKG equipment.
Assists in training new employees in the EKG lab.
Restocks work areas with needed supplies. Keeps areas clean and safe for patients.
Communicates and works effectively with other hospital departments, physicians offices and other customers.*
Demonstrates the ability to apply holter/event monitors
What qualifications you will need:
EXPERIENCE
Required: Six months experience in patient care in a hospital
Preferred: Six months experience performing EKG's.

Preferred: Medical Training
