Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to oversee EHS programs for two manufacturing facilities located in Columbia and Orangeburg, SC. This leadership role is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving Environmental, Health & Safety Management Systems while ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state, and local regulations.

The ideal candidate is a proactive safety leader with a strong manufacturing background who can build relationships across operations, drive a positive safety culture, reduce organizational risk, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.


Job Duties:

  • Lead all Environmental, Health & Safety programs across two manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and all applicable regulations.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs, including LOTO, machine guarding, hazard communication, confined space, fall protection, electrical safety, industrial hygiene, emergency response, ergonomics, and contractor safety.

  • Conduct safety training, lead safety committee meetings, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, Workers' Compensation management, and safety performance tracking.

  • Perform facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments while partnering with Operations, Engineering, HR, and Facilities to improve workplace safety.

  • Oversee environmental compliance programs, including waste management, chemical storage, air emissions, stormwater, permits, and regulatory reporting.

  • Manage EHS budgets, documentation, and program performance while providing guidance and recommendations to leadership.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • 7+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and environmental regulations.

  • Experience leading EHS programs across manufacturing operations.

  • Proven experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to support and travel between the Columbia and Orangeburg facilities.

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP).

  • Experience implementing or maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.

  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.
