Job description

This position is responsible for contributing to Environmental Compliance, Health and Safety (EHS) efforts for the Fort Collins site. The EHS Safety Specialist develops, implements, executes, and improves programs to support EHS programs, policies, and procedures. The position will work with all site-specific teams and deliver site-specific safety training to employees
Essential Duties:
  • Support everyone safe every day culture as part of a human powered business
  • Identify risks and support the implementation of exposure controls to assure coworker health and safety and to prevent environmental noncompliance
  • Assist and implement solutions for EHS incident prevention and risk reduction
  • Develop, coordinate, facilitate, and deliver required EHS training for site
  • Perform environmental inspections and training specific to state regulations and site prevention plan
  • Prepare plant specific SOP's for equipment and processes
  • Ensure all SOP forms and records are current and completed
  • Perform internal audits and compliance inspections
  • Manage and report all EHS incidents and events
  • Participate in all plant hygiene troubleshooting and problem-solving activities
  • Provide mentoring and training to others in area(s) of technical expertise
  • Represent EHS in major project and/or focused improvement team efforts
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/ Experience/Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline or 3+ years in related field
  • Solid Understanding of safety best practices in a Manufacturing environment
  • 3+ of related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a brewing /beverage facility is desirable

Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Bell's and New Belgium's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.
Starting Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $28.50 per hour

Physical Requirements:

  • Demonstrate their ability to carry and climb 12 ft. extension ladder, kneel, stoop, twist, squat and reach overhead.
