About the Role

Chapman Chevrolet in Tempe is seeking a detail-oriented Title Clerk to join our team! As the Title Clerk, you’ll play an important role in ensuring vehicle sales and transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. You’ll work closely with internal teams, lenders, customers, and state agencies to complete title and registration paperwork and keep vehicle records up to date.

Responsibilities

  • Process all new and used vehicles for registration in the state of which they will be titled
  • Process refund checks to customers
  • Process EFT payments for new and used title transactions
  • Reconcile title and registration schedules
  • Prepare tax and title documents
  • Submit all legal transfer documents to the Department of Motor Vehicles
  • Communicate with customers and lenders to ensure the timely release of liens and titles for all trade in vehicles
  • Stay current on title, registration, and other applicable regulations

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of automotive title experience required
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership systems
