PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as a mid-level project analyst at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division, Indian Head, MD.ย ย You'll have an opportunity to work on world-class military programs that support the US Navy's Warfare technology as part of the Air Systems Engineering Branch.ย  The applicant shall work on site with the Air Systems Engineering team. The applicant will be required to work with project leads and their engineers to develop documentation and support as needed to assist projects in executing according to plan.ย The applicantโ€™s responsibilities include supporting the project manager with overseeing and coordinating projects, contributing to project planning, preparing and maintaining documentation, reviewing contracts and financials, monitoring project activities, and evaluating the overall project.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimumย BS or BA degree in related discipline
  • 5+ years of project management or relevant experience
  • PMP certification and experience in Project Management principals is preferred
  • Job experience with Navy or DoD engineering is desirable but not a prerequisite

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
  • Extensive MS Project experience and thorough understanding of the project management principles
  • Utilizing budget and financial knowledge in executing projects to cost, schedule and performance requirements
  • Experience with integrated master schedule development and tracking
  • Experience developing integrated master schedule summary charts for inclusion in status briefs
  • Experience with leading risk management to include documenting, tracking, and reporting risks
  • Experience working with naval engineering financials, budgeting, cost estimates, Statements of Work
  • Experience with analysis report writing and project management plans
  • Experience with tracking action items and obtaining status information
  • Possess strong MS Office skills to include, but not limited to MS Word,ย MS Project, MS PowerPoint, and Adobe Pro
  • Possess excellent verbal/written communications skills and attention to detail
  • Interest and aptitude for working on complex technical projects and teams in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple assignments
  • Ability to interact with technical and non-technical customers and external teammates to understand their issues, frame potential solutions and develop collaborative projects
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation.ย Current successful background investigation completion is a plus.
