  • Own and evolve Westcliff’s brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines across all platforms
  • Mentor and provide editorial direction to copywriters and content contributors
  • Partner with marketing, admissions, PR, and academic leadership to develop integrated storytelling strategies
  • Guide SEO-informed content strategy, ensuring optimization without compromising quality or voice
  • Analyze content performance and apply insights to continuously improve messaging effectiveness
  • Contribute to campaign ideation, brand positioning, and thought leadership initiatives
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across all published content

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
  • 5–8+ years of professional copywriting or content strategy experience
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating campaign work, storytelling, and strategic thinking
  • Deep understanding of SEO, digital content strategy, and audience engagement
  • Experience mentoring writers or leading content initiatives
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and conceptual skills
  • Experience in higher education or a mission-driven organization preferred
