The Role

As an Implementation Communications Consultant, you will lead Fidelity clients to develop the implementation strategy and then operationalize that strategy to build and deliver high-quality, efficient communications to participants in the Strategic, Large, Select and Mid-Market segments. You will deliver critical information to plan participants during periods of change. Your focus will be on sophisticated, new client implementations, new plan setups, corporate actions, and other large event projects.

  • Coordinate with the client on a communication and education strategy for the project, uncovering key client priorities and needs
  • Highlight Fidelity's customization abilities and build into the strategy (where applicable)
  • Review project requirements and estimate the hours needed to complete, by building a communications project plan or timeline, coordinate project plan results and dates and provide status updates
  • Acquire client, plan and project information from the client, internal partners, and prior record-keeper to develop communications
  • Draft print and email communications, microsites, forms, employee meeting presentations, and other informative components ensuring high PADU adherence and cost efficiencies
  • Review communications with Fidelity legal/compliance, internal service team and the client.
  • Coordinate production, setup, and delivery of communications
  • Hold communication collaborators accountable for delivery dates and document completion dates
  • Position various communication campaigns with clients and acquire high adoption rates
  • Complete project on time and within budget with high client happiness and upon project completion, reliably transition client to ongoing CC (Communication Consultant)
  • Represent CE (Communication and Education) in internal projects and initiatives
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource for internal business partners on CE implementation services

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Experience in employee benefits communication and/or financial services preferred
  • At least 2 years' communications consulting experience preferred
  • Confirmed project management experience required
  • NASD Series 7 and 63 licenses (must be acquired within 90 days of hire)
  • Proven understanding of communication processes from writing and design through distribution across multiple media (print, email, internet, video)
  • Ability to write and/or edit readable, user-friendly copy and integrate graphics to improve message
  • Ability to think critically and make decisions independently
  • Knowledge of the communications and financial industry standards
  • Knowledge of Fidelity's communications offerings and capabilities for a multitude of product offerings
  • Consultative selling skills and experience
  • Client servicing skills and experience

The Team

You will work with multiple client projects simultaneously, depending on the level of complexity. Your efforts will help Fidelity profitability by offering efficient, digital solutions that engage participants. You will partner internally with key business partners in implementation, marketing, product, legal and production to meet client expectations. You will partner externally with key collaborators like plan sponsors, consultants, and Fidelity's vendors.
