Educational ASL Interpreters - Multiple Openings (6 Positions) - Denton, TX

We are seeking six (6) Educational ASL Interpreters to support students in school-based settings throughout the Denton, Texas area. These professionals will facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their teachers, peers, and school staff, helping ensure equal access to classroom instruction and educational activities. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while supporting student success in an inclusive learning environment.

Simple Requirements
  • High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • RID certification, BEI certification, or state-required interpreter credentials preferred
  • Previous experience working in educational or pediatric settings preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ASL interpretation for students during classroom instruction and school activities
  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
  • Assist in creating an accessible and inclusive learning environment

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language 
  • Associates degree or Bachelors degree in interpreting, deaf studies or related field, preferred 
  • State Board of Education Initial Sign Language Interpreter Certificate (as applicable)
  • Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) certificate (as applicable per state regulation or client requirement)
  • Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification ( as applicable per state regulation or client requirement)
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice 
  • Current CPR if applicable 
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
